Calendar news (coins, too)

First off, many thanks for all your kind words in response to Friday’s “Blogger’s Block.” I love my audience, you’re all great!
Second, a big thanks to Joe O’D who recommended TD Bank for our coin-counting needs. I went on Saturday with four large bags of coins. There was no fee to use their counting machine, and when one of the tellers saw how many coins I had, he came over and expedited it. I took home $208.91! But be warned, the bank is going to start charging 6% if you’re not a customer.
Third, I’ve selected the photos for the calendar! I’ll show them to you soon. Phillip had a great idea and that is to put your beagles’ names (including last if you’d like) and ages on the days of their birthdays (or adoption days, or any other day you might prefer.) You can post this in the comments or email me at dd @ lauriekramer.com.
Finally, Stanley’s new hobby is to bring Phillip’s socks downstairs. Since dogs don’t think to move stuff that’s in their way (imagine how enriched their lives could be if they did) Sherman fell asleep with his daddy’s sock on his nose.

I’m very excited about the calendar. If you have room to add a few more birthdays, Katie and Spencer were born on May 15, 2000. They’ll be 11 next year (and don’t act a day over 5.

The photo is adorable! And I love the idea of birthdays. Trumbo’s is June 2, 2007. He’ll be four years old next June. Can’t believe my wild man is a big boy, but he seems to be regressing a bit (playing with dad’s shoes and tearing up envelopes).

TD bank is the best. The sole reason I continue to bank there is because they give out dog treats when you bring your dog with you. My girls start doing flips when I say “want to go to the bank?”

So Stanley is stealing socks? He must have a tad of terrier in him. My terrier/beagle Daily Mae steals all my socks and sneakers. When something goes missing I check her nest first.

It looks like he is using it as a nose-warmer. During the cold weather my Alex used to bury his nose like that if he wasn’t all curled up and using his tail. Although sometimes he managed to do both…..

This picture of Sherman is adorable! Spunky was a sock stealer as a puppy, but she stopped after a few years. Every once in awhile, though, the mood will strike and she’ll take off with my socks in hopes I’ll chase her.
Spunky’s birthday (we think) is March 4, 2001….that’s as close as we could figure based on her first puppy visit vet records. I can’t believe my girl is going to be 10 in a few months!

My baby girl LOVES laundry day because that means she can go curl up on the floor in mommy’s dirty clothes(eww). I always have to check to make sure the pile is beagle free before I go to throw it in the washing machine.

Our beagle/doxie mix, Merlin, used to take my work shoes out to the living room and roll all over them. None of our current dogs have a foot fetish.
Daisy is 12. Her Gotcha day was Nov. 4, 2000.
Shorty is 7. His Gotcha day was April 7, 2006.
Hemi is 6. His Gotcha Day was in April 2007.
They were all adopted from the local SPCA.

Here’s my idea. If one wants their dog acknowledged in the calendar then they pre-pay and send in the dates along with their payment before the cut-off date needed to print calender.
