Our little helper

Posted by laurie on March 29, 2011

I swear, I have never seen anyone so devoted to his work as Sherman, our packing assistant. Neither of the boys have that negative reaction to suitcases as Spenser did, but Sherman does like to nap on every piece of clothing. It will be nice to to wear dog hair while we’re in Jamaica!

That third picture is so precious! I just want to curl right up next to him. Have a wonderful trip!

There is no help like Beagle help! Have a great trip!

The hair of our beagles can be found everywhere on this planet. We also suspect, through a friend who does orbital research with NASA (think “Lettuce in Orbit”)and who is quite fond of our two, that there is Beagle Hair in Space.

Sherman is hoping that you’ll pack him also.

  5. I’d love to find my beagle’s fur while away! It good to know that he is ‘near’. 🙂

It’s always preferable to have a Beagle assistant in any task that you undertake. He is a champion at his job! What a good boy. Have a great trip and a wonderful time renewing your wedding vows, that is just so sweet. We will be married 24 years on April 11th.

I love the third pic. When Eddie is like that I just have to hug him…I think it was in his purchase agreement papers!

Sherman is so cute! He wants to make sure you think of him and Stan when on your trip =)

So this is going to sound corny but we call his 2nd pose (sprawled out) hot dog and his 3rd pose (curled up) hamburger. Depending on how much room is left on the bed, our beags will either turn into a hot dog or a hamburger to fit on the bed.

Yes, but if they’re in the bed with you while you’re sleeping, YOU’RE the one who has to pick hot dog or hamburger pose so you can still fit. ;->

That’s funny!! And not corny at all – I call pose #3 the “little bean”, because I guess Spunky reminds me of a lima bean or kidney bean when I see her like that.

Either way, hamburger or bean, Sherman is just precious!

We call pose #3 the “cinnamon bun”, and it requires a big hug. Eddy has a cute little grumbling noise he makes when we administer the hug!

I think Sherm’s marking his people so that the tropical beagles know which beag the Kramers belong to 🙂
We have enough Lab, Beagle, Cat & German Shepard fur in our house to fill a comforter!

I can tell you, when Josie does that, her intention is for you to stop what you’re doing and pay attention to her. It’s all about the diva. (Jordan just shows up with a toy — different approach, same end result — nothing is as important as paying attention to the beagle in front of you.).

Have a wonderful trip! Shermie’s such a doll!

Oh, I just want to throw my arms around that sweet Sherman-especially in the first and third pic–looks JUST like my Shiloh-that rounded head….and the not so subtle reminding of ‘what you’re going to miss if you insist on packing and leaving me!’

I love how beagles “help” I fell down the basement steps once when my Marley decided to help me move some storage bins.
