Maggie and Stanley dancing…

Posted by courtneayparsons on April 14, 2011

Stanley knows that tennis balls are the keys to Maggie’s heart. If he can’t get her to pay attention to him, he will grab a tennis ball and stand in front of her until she gives chase. If she won’t take the bait, he might even toss her the ball to get her into the game. This time, in her haste to take advantage of this dropped-ball opportunity, she ended up performing this little two-step maneuver. It worked. She has the ball in her mouth in this shot. And Stanley got his dance with MaggieDoo!

Great picture and story! Those two are so funny and cute together. And speaking of cute couples, Happy 20th Anniversary to Laurie & Phillip! (It says so, right here on my DD calendar. :->)

I’m seconding Susan! I’m Laurie’s sister, and the minute I saw those two cuties dancing, I thought what an appropriate day for that–Laurie and Phillip should be dancing for their anniversary in Jamaica. Happy 20th, Laurie and Phillip! I still remember having such fun helping you plan your wedding. Who knew that 20 years later the number of my grandkids would be approaching the number of your beagles 🙂

You two have fun and happy 20th anniversary! Make sure you dance too. 🙂

I think Maggie is trying to show Stanley how pretty she is. He seems entranced so it must have worked.

Happy Anniversary, Laurie and Phillip. I wonder if Laurie went a vampin’ Phillip with a tennis ball?

I wanted to let you all know that Huey Dandelion Kneeland passed away today around 7:15 p.m. He had cluster seizures today and the vet could stop him from seizing. I cannot figure out how to post his picture on this post or I would. The vet believes the Comfortis he was taking caused the cluster seizures. Huey was at least 14 years old (if not older). Huey was a rescure and a success story. Our hearts are extremely empty this evening and our younger Beagle, Brady, is just lost without his big brother. (By the way, our daughter gave him his middle name because when we lived in Maine, Huey would roll around in the dandelions and end up with the blossoms stuck in his collar!)

Sue, I am so sorry for you and your family. We’ve all known this pain, but Huey had a long and happy life with you. He’s at the Bridge, free from pain and fear, rolling in dandelions.

Sue, so sorry for your family’s loss of Huey, you gave him a great life!

Sue, I’m so sorry for your loss! I’m sure you gave him as much pleasure as he gave you.

Very sorry for your loss. I love the vision of Huey with the dandelion necklace.

Oh, Sue, so sorry for you all. I couldn’t figure out the picture thing either when Shiloh died. I emailed it to Laurie and she graciously posted it for me.
I’m pretty sure the DD families’ beloved beagles who are at the Rainbow Bridge are hanging out together telling funny stories about us!

Our deepest sympathies go out to you and your family. May fond memories of Huey Dandelion comfort you.

I’m so sorry about your loss of Huey! I didn’t see this on Friday but by a strange coincidence, Boscoe was rolling in the yard and came up with some dandilion fluff stuck all over him.

Huey will be waiting for you, Dandelions and all.

      Sue,

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Huey. Love the middle name and story about it. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

So sorry for your loss. It is so hard to lose a family member. Love the dandelion story. Our beagle also loves to roll around outside but she has not rolled in dandelions. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May it bring comfort knowing that he is now free from pain at the bridge rolling in dandelions. I am sure our beagles Sandy and Sam were there to greet him. He will be there waiting for you.
