So funny! Great job, Philip! I especially like the end where they roll on the rug. Cody goes nuts doing the same thing after a bath!

I’m glad to see more video, well done! Josie and Jordan are too big for the sink, and since we’re chicken about the nail clipping, we just take them to the “Dog Spa” every 6 weeks or so for “the works”.

I love Sherman casually leaving the room in the background

      That was my favorite part!

Sherman getting out of there looked very familiar! We do ours in the tub, which means catching a beagle and getting it upstairs. We usually manage to get one upstairs, and when it’s time for the second one’s bath, that dog disappears!

      Loved this!

Me, too!! I laughed out loud when I saw him innocently wandering out in the background.

I loved Sherman’s exit, as well. But I also loved the look Stanley shot the cameraman after his attempted escape from the sink.

That’s so funny! That look on Stan’s face is priceless and I loved how Sherman skulked away. I used to bathe my dogs one after the other, and when I was done there would be overturned furniture, balled up rugs, etc all over the house. Like a tornado had passed through.

What a terrific way to start my Monday morning. Thank you!!

I can’t look at this at work….can’t wait to get home to see it!

Awesome video! Shermie’s skulking away really was a hoot. LOVED the oh, so typical, roll on the rug afterward.

Oh, yes, looks like home all right. We have to shut all doors possible since anything and everything is going to be rolled on or rubbed against–even walls and furniture.
We have to do ours upstairs in the bathroom. Everybody knows what it means when they are in there with us and the door goes shut–oh, the looks of angst.

My favorite is the wiggly butt part of the shaking off. True story: our basset was very good with baths. The best part of it was toweling her off. She would wiggle and waggle once out of the tub, but when you covered her head, she stood stock still as long as that towel was in place. My hubby called her “our end table”.

Great video! I, too, love the frantic rolling and rubbing on the carpet and rugs afterward. And Sherman exiting, like, uh-oh, I’m next, was great!

Must be summer – Sherry went to the groomer for “the works” on Saturday. We miss the after-bath wiggle-butt action, but the groomer gets her cleaner than I do & does Sherry’s nails.

Loved every minute of it. Especially Sherman’s sneaking out and Stanley’s expressions!

Well that was hilarious! I love the editing – fading to the butt shake and drop & roll was perfect. And that sequence when Shermie eased out of the room made me lol all three times I watched it!

    More vids Phillip! Please!

Phillip should get an Academy Award for editing.
    Loved the video…

My husband, Mike, washed our elder beagle Rudy on Friday. I heard crying and barking from the master bathroom and went to see what the commotion was. I guess Rudy was barking and howling to warn our other beagle, Cooper of an upcoming bath for him. Cooper hasn’t been very messy or smelly lately, so he didn’t have to get his bath/shower.

Oh the audacity! The torture! Call the SPCA! Call the Humane Society! Call the HEAD BEAGLE! The indecency and horror!

Aw, I do love the rolling at the end… And the shaking out – it’s so funny how they start out with the ears and finish with the tail!

    • Susan in DE said

Horses shake like that, too — nose to tail. You’d better hang on tight if you’re riding when it happens! Oh, and they love to roll after a bath as well, although they don’t scrub their faces and shoulders the same way. Good thing they don’t come in the house, they’d do more than knock furniture over!

This year, we’ve used a mobile pet grooming for our dogs. It’s a bit pricey, but it includes bathing, drying, using the “Furminator”, ears cleaned, anal glands emptied and nails clipped. They pull up in the driveway and take the dogs into the van for the works. And of course, the first thing the dogs do when they get back in the yard is find a stinky spot to roll in.

And the knife block is there as a warning to behave?!?!?!?

I find it is easier to give my 3 beagles a bath in the shower. The bathroom keeps them confind. One at a time they go into the shower with me. They love the rub down and will come back for more until almst dry. Then of course they get a special treat.

We have never been able to wash our 2 in the sink. In fact Bill believes he and Sam bonded when they slid down a muddy hill the first day Sam was ours and they then showered together!!!

  22. Tam said

We’ve never tried the sink thing. We have a shower stall we use. Elvis is just too big. Abbey is even a little big for the sink. We have a small kitchen, small sink.
