It’s only money

Posted by laurie on June 29, 2011

Sorry Stanley, I’m afraid that’s coming out of your allowance.

Today is the installation of the Taj Ma Fence, which will replace the yucky vine-covered wire fence along the driveway. This morning at 6 AM, we were cutting down a small tree which threatened to fall onto the fence. Better now than later. Phillip didn’t want to use his chainsaw so early, so he did the initial cut with a human-powered model. The boys were of course locked inside. Pictures tomorrow!

At least it was only $1. Cobalt once ate a $20!

So true! My dogs also chewed a $20. Fortunately I was able to patch it back together again.

I didn’t get the $20 back. I only know it was on the table, then it wasn’t. Oh yeah, and he ate a check my Gram sent me for my birthday.

It was Stanilicious too. I’m thinking he thought he deserved a little more than a pat on the head for his dancing efforts….just saying. 🙂

Only $1? Lucky you. Sherry hasn’t raided my purse yet, but Andy used to hand me $5 bills that he’d removed from my wallet. I also have his teeth marks on my Nordstrom’s card. I’m sure he was trying to tell me that it was time for a trip to Petsmart.

My sister’s Cocker Spaniel gets into purses. He pulls bills out of your wallet- but he won’t choose anything smaller than a $20.

Gomez once ate exactly half of a Barbados $10 note.

And, in other news, Lily ate (and later rejected) approximately 2.5lb of dried apples that the grandkids left within beagle reach. Oy.

Josie got her teeth into a pair of $40 (each) Phillies tickets, but they were saved before total destruction occurred. We got the envelope with the tickets in the mail, and when Rob was opening it, she was hopping up and down in excitement. He took the tickets out and held them out to her as he said, “Silly dog, it’s not food, it’s baseball tickets,” and she grabbed them anyway. It’s a hungry beast.

One time Timmy was staring at the banana peel I was carrying to the garbage. I showed it to him, so he could see it was just a peel. Before I knew it he grabbed it and ate it!

When my husband got our 1st computer at a computer show in Cleveland he took cash with him. When he got home he put his jeans on the bed and put on his shorts, I went to find out where our little Casey was at ( he was less than a year old at the time) he was on the bed with 4 $100.00 dollar bills hanging out of his mouth, we were very lucky he was just sitting there, looking cute.
