Filter -> Brush Strokes

Posted by laurie on September 15, 2011

I moved from “regular” Photoshop to Photoshop Elements about two years ago and never looked back. It has more than I need, including these two attractive filters.

Used with an equally attractive dog.

  1. I have both, but I think I like the full PS better (I’m more used to the interface than PS Elements). I have Adobe CS4 along with Illustrator and InDesign. In my biz, magazine publishing, those are must-haves, although, I don’t use InDesign (I’m an editor) or Illustrator. However if I ever find myself needing more work, I can let future employers know that I have those skill sets.

    Looks great! I moved to GIMP which has cool filters, etc, and is 100% free.

    Don’t know what you are talking about , but I love the pictures….and the model of course! Sounds like another language to me 🙂

    I’m with Sue; haven’t a clue what all that stuff means. Brush strokes, to me, brings to mind uncooperative beagles getting, well, brushed.

    Nice effects, I must say.

    Don’t have a clue about photoshop terminology – but I’m a painter & these photos certainly have a lovely painterly quality to them. Sherry won’t always sit for a photo shot, (or for a quick sketch), but she’s certainly sit for getting stroked with her brush!

  7. Looks like someone is thinking ahead to the calendar. Love this years’ September ring man photo. I use iPiccy, completely free, no sign-ups or downloads and so easy to modify photos. iPiccy was Kim Komando’s website of the day recently..

  8. I have photoshop express on my iPhone – it is the only photoshop product I understand because those layers drive me crazy! However, your photos are very nice and made me look again at ps elements for mac.
