Cody and Henry

Posted by laurie on September 21, 2011

This picture of Cody and Henry was taken last November to celebrate their first Christmas with us. Lori (my sister) says the title should be “Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dee Looking for Santa”!

Thank you so much, Laurie, for choosing my entry of my two precious boys for the Guest DD! We’ve been enjoying all the pix posted this week and finally getting to see some of the darling beagles we’ve been reading about for months. Keep up the good work!

      Luana,
Your Cody looks so much like my Clyde that they could be twins! It’s amazing. Did you get him from SOS Beagle? Thanks for sharing the pics! -Jen

Hi Jen – Wish I could see a picture of Clyde! I adopted Cody from the Waupaca Humane Society in Waupaca, WI at the end of January 2010. We adopted Henry on the Fourth of July 2010 from Eastshore Humane in Chilton, WI when we realized Cody needed another dog to bond with. They get along very well together and I love them both dearly!

How did you get that pose? It is a beautiful picture of your babies. I agree, nice to see the Beags we have been hearing about. Love to Sherman & Stanley 🙂

What a great picture and such cute beags!
(and how did you manage to get the picture?!)
    Awesome

Okay Luana, Henry’s face has just completely exploded my cute button! LOL. I love old beagles even more than puppy beagles!

How did you get that pose? I’m looking at doing professional portraits of mine this year and can’t get them to stay still let alone pose.

Thanks for all the great comments! This picture was taken by Trish of Legacy Studios in Sheboygan, WI. She does GREAT work with animal portraits and has photographed some of our cats also.

Trish was doing Christmas portraits at Dawgs in Motion in Saukville, WI, so I took the boys there. She had two assistants, and there is one on either side of the boys (of course, they are cropped out of the picture). Without those two gals it would have taken a long time to get them both to sit still enough for a picture.

She got this shot on the second try! On the first one Cody was leaning WAY to the side, probably trying to make his third escape from the box he’s in! That pic would have taken first place in the Humorous category! Trish had her computer and PhotoShop equipment right there, so within a minute or two she made all necessary corrections and the portrait was final.

I am in love! Awww… But I want to know how you got them to stay still and looking like perfect angels. Our Christmas pictures end up as the ‘best out of about 30 shots’, and then we have someone looking off the other way or trying to bolt… I even tried holding treats covered in gravy while Erich snapped pictures… still not much luck.

Cute picture. Love Cody’s ‘eyeliner’, beautiful eyes. What color is Henry’s body? The colors on his chest are really stiking, like charcoal and fawn. Two more beagles I’d love to snuggle up with.

Thanks, Carol. Henry is a brindle color – mostly black and tan, with streaks of white. He also has a black “necklace.”

Oh so precious! These two sweeties took my breath away! Very beautiful!

Awwwww!!! I wish someone would give me a beagle in a box! (Like I need another beagle … it would probably spell divorce). I agree with Christy, I love a pup, but I’m defintely more of a sucker for the seniors.

My two knuckleheads were a Christmas present from my husband, and he actually put them in a wrapped box. I took the lid off that box and almost fainted from cute overload – not one, but TWO beagle pups!

What a wonderful Christmas gift, and a great way to give it! But . . . how did he manage to keep TWO beagle pups in a box until you got the top off?

They are just adorable – I want to smooch them both!

Gorgeous hounds. I also love the seniors.

Okay..I have to comment again. The more often I look at this picture (and yes, I’ve come back at least half a dozen times now) the more I think Henry is trying to pull a David Copperfield on us. Look at his eyes. Doesn’t it look like he is trying to hypnotize us or something right through the screen?

I think it might be working. I see a mailbox, a box and a large plate of sliced chicken sprinkled with bacon bits in my head…..I wonder….:)

I, too, am struck by Henry’s colors. They are both so handsome.
