Tally ho!

Posted by laurie on January 6, 2012

Phillip takes the boys for a long walk on Saturday and Sunday and occasionally during the week, depending on time and available light. His favorite walk is a five miler along the canal, which first requires a short drive to the other side. After the harnesses go on they are READY to get in the car.

(I know, I know, but all they had was the pink!) Since there is a canal on one side of the path and a river on the other, Phillip sometimes lets Sherman go off-leash. He’ll run about 20 yards ahead, then come tearing back. Over and over, and this probably explains why he immediately takes a nap when he gets home. Unfortunately, Stanley can not be trusted so he stays on the flexi, but has a great time anyway.

By the way, I don’t have photos but am tickled to announce that Phillip was appointed Deputy Mayor of our township. It’s not as big a deal as it sounds, but still! My husband the Deputy Mayor!

Poor Sherman! Do the other dogs tease him about the pink harness?

    And heartfelt congratulations to Phillip!

That’s what I was thinking Karen, do they point and laugh?

Congratulations to Phillip! Way to go!

I guess that since Sherm is deaf he can’t hear what the other dogs are saying. (Rudolf was teased by the other reindeer for his red nose, as I recall)

    Woot CONGRATS!

And real men (and men dogs) aren’t afraid of pink.

    Way to go Phillip!

Sherman is so adorable that he can pull off wearing almost anything! The other dogs should be envious of his love bug magnetism!

    Congratulations Deputy Mayor Phillip!!!

Dogs are mostly color blind, true????
Though I agree with Tam’s comment about real men and real men dogs!!!!

Congrats to Phillip and it doesn’t matter what color collar Sherm has on he’s still a babe magnet.

What we really want to know is whether or not Phillip wears pink.

    Congratulations Phillip!! That’s awesome!

Jordan has a purple harness and nobody teases him.

I love the obvious enthusiasm displayed by both boys about going for a ride. When we load Josie and Jordan up in the car to take them someplace to walk other than around our neghborhood or local park, we call it a Dog Adventure Walk. The car ride is part of the fun.

LOL … I just looked more closely at each of the photos, and it’s funny how when one hound is at the window, the other is getting ready to lay claim to riding shotgun upfront. :->

“I’m a front-seat dog!” If you don’t know this quote, you HAVE GOT to read “A Dog’s Purpose” by Bruce Cameron.
Please, someone let me know you’ve read it. Greatest dog book. Ever.
