What’s for dinner?

Posted by laurie on June 29, 2012

Is it just me, or do other people feel guilty when they bring home a rotisserie chicken for dinner? The boys are always thrilled because after we’re done, they get the good stuff.

And check out the beautiful curvature of Sherm’s tongue. Bring on the mega-pixels!

Wubba

Posted by laurie on June 27, 2012

That toy hanging in thin air is a Kong Wubba and it was given to us by Susan from DE when she came to the beaglefest in May. Thanks again, Susan! I was wrong! Who gave the boys this great toy? I”m sorry I forgot!

Have you EVER seen a more ferocious beagle in all your life?

Friday

Posted by laurie on June 22, 2012

Speaking of procrastinating, I am writing this at 8:54 AM on Friday, If I wait any longer my sister is going to email me to make sure I’m okay, so I’ll have to end here. Have a great weekend!

Maybe later

Posted by laurie on June 20, 2012

If I were to list my personal failings, procrastination would be on top. The stuff I put off (and off and off and off) is just ridiculous. For example, I’ve been meaning to frame the lovely certificate we got last year when we renewed our vows on our 20th anniversary. I’ve also been meaning to frame the one we got for our 10th. Everyone procrastinates, of course, including Phillip, and especially when it comes to some chores around the house. We had the beaglefest on May 5th and this cooler (plus another) only went into the basement last Saturday. I can barely recognize the Taj Ma Patio with them. By the way, it was his idea to share this with all of you. What have you put off lately?

Cheesy garlic bread

Posted by laurie on June 18, 2012

My cousin’s kidney stone turned into a septic infection which landed her in the ICU for two days. She is much better now but still hospitalized and that’s where I spent much of the weekend. On Saturday night, Uncle Bob came over and graciously offered to make dinner: linguine with mussels and shrimp, and cheesy garlic bread. I don’t know which was better, that garlic bread or the fact that Aunt Nancy did ALL the cleaning up after dinner. I didn’t have to touch a thing. This photo was of course from earlier in the evening when the hor d’oeuvres were served. I’ll explain the cooler in the middle of the kitchen later this week.
