Friday

Posted by laurie on June 22, 2012

Speaking of procrastinating, I am writing this at 8:54 AM on Friday, If I wait any longer my sister is going to email me to make sure I’m okay, so I’ll have to end here. Have a great weekend!

That’s a great picture. Happy Friday, everybody!

How often does Stanley stick his tongue out like that?

Happy Friday, all! Is that his tongue as Steve mentions, or is it gums? Josie’s lower gum and little teethies show sometimes. Jordan is missing two of his canine “fangs”, including the lower one on the left. So, his tongue would sometimes stick out of the left of his face without him meaning it to, and it looks very silly. That’s part of why he got the “Dufus” nickname. :->

Cassie sticks her tongue out just a little bit when she sleeps sometimes – she looks so sweet!

Spunky does, too, sometimes. I woke her up this morning when getting ready for work and she had the smooshie face on one side with her tongue sticking out just a little in the middle. So smoochable!

Best work day ever, here. 🙂 Kramer is with me, and it’s been a great day. Right now he’s napping, as I need to get some work done. But, we’ll be off in a little while, with a meet and greet at 1pm to promote shelter, rescue, foster and special needs dogs. It’s great – my friend here has a deaf beautiful Aussie, and a rescue, some other co-workers brought theirs in, and Kramer is a story of hope.

Since I retired I have lots of time for Libby. I sometimes thought that work really got in the way of so many things :-). Actually, I really did like my job. I worked at St. Louis Public Library (SLPL) in the Business, Science & Technology (BST) Department for most of my 22 years at SLPL. We were a Patent and Trademark Depository Library (PTDL) and I was the PTDL Representative. I mention this because, Kramer and Gandolf”s Mom, Kate, is the Patents and Trademarks Rep at Rochester Public Library. I did not know this until a week or so ago when Kate mentioned that she had lots of patent and trademark questions that day. We had gone to some of the annual training seminars and when I saw a photo of Kate I knew immediately that we had met at one of them. This was before I discovered BotW and the Daily Digital. We talked on the phone and realized that we had the same job but at different libraries. It was great fun comparing notes about then and now. It was even better to know that we reconnected on BotW-DD. Kate, I hope you don’t mind that I told this story. It really proves what a small world it is. MANY THANKS to Laurie for getting started with BotW-DD and putting so much time, work, and love into it. AND, of course, MANY THANKS to all the Beagles and Honorary Beagles for being at the heart of it all!!!

Wow, it really is a small world, as befits our small hounds!

Carol, I am SO glad you called the other day! How wonderful to reconnect with you. I had no idea “Libby’s Mom” was you! 🙂 And I don’t mind at All that you shared this. I am delighted. It truly is a small world, and that our love of animals is such a common thread. Thanks Carol. 🙂 You made my day
