Decisions, decisions

Posted by laurie on November 28, 2012

Sometimes I don’t have a photo to get started.

Then Stanley happily obliges.

Trouble is, every time I stand up to to take a picture, Stan thinks I’m going to the kitchen to give him a extra-large treat. So I have to make do.

Laurie, even when you don’t think you have a picture, you always deliver! šŸ™‚ I get the sequence of these. Kramer was just the same. Thank you for the morning smile.

  2. I just love the cozy cave – or pup tent as Laurie calls it. So do Buddy and Holly. It use to be just Buddy’s but lately, Holly has been getting in it first at bed time and when Buddy goes to get in- he gets frustrated that she is in there first and she won’t share. I saw that they have them at Bed Bath and Beyond for only $27 so I am going to run out and get another one. As always Laurie- I love your pictures ! Thank you

I love the cave and how well Stanley obliged for todays DD. Someday I want one of those for Lucky.

My own bed serves nicely as a cave (or hobbit hole). When I see my sleeping dogs, I think of the line “It was a hobbit hole, and that means comfort.”

Suggestions on size, please – Bode is a little round these days (body type more Claytonian than Stanalicious or Shermanian), at about 35 pounds. Thanks!

  6. The one at Bed Bath and Beyond is on sale for 21.99 and with my 20% off coupon – it was 17 and change. It is quite a bit smaller than the first one I purchased. It is 25 inches in diameter. Both Buddy and Holly are around 25 pounds and they “just” fit in to it with not too much room to spare. I would get a bigger one – around 30 inches if your dog is bigger. Holly slept in it when I got home, and Buddy craweld in to it and slept in it last night. Neither one slept in the other larger one, but I am betting they they now will trade off between the two of them.

Very cute-funny how that is with beagles…any movement at my house means “ooohh maybe a treat if they head to the kitchen”. We call it “haunting” at our house, where they sort of follow you around and stare at you with hopeful eyes….
