I wasn’t using it anyway

This reminded me of the February 8th photo snuggling with Sherman when I got home from the hospital. Don’t I look SO much better with a tan? (Joke.)

Phillip took this on Saturday. The boys were a little clingy, understandably so, and also quite tired, like Buddy and Holly. Nothing like 10 days at camp to tire out four beagles.

You DO look great! Glad you had such a good trip! Stanley appears to be reading whatever is on the screen! All is well here at the Ruby household–except for the nasty inchworm invation-year 2-ugh!!!

Stanley looks like he’s giving Sherm “the eye.”

Very true! And Laurie, you do look great! :->

There’s news here … looks like we’re about to become a 2 beagle household again! Long story short, an email was forwarded to us a few weeks ago about a 9 year old beagle named Lady who needed a new home. She’ll be coming over this Saturday so we can see if she’s a good fit with Josie and our household. I’m excited, and a little apprehensive. I’ll provide an update on Monday, fingers crossed it goes well.

Thank you for considering an older Beagle….you’re the best. Can’t wait for an update.

Best of luck with Lady. I love older Beagles and would save them all if I could. Brooklyn, the latest addition to our family, is just over 1 year old and making the older hounds crazy!

        Thanks, Amy and Sue.

Sue, Josie is 13, so it wouldn’t be fair to her if we brought in a puppy or younger dog that wants to play all the time. And it wouldn’t be fair to the younger dog, either (Lord knows I don’t want a puppy!!). Jordan was 9 or 10 when we got him, and we were blessed with his presence for 6 years. Older beagles are the best!

Good luck with Lady Susan – poor baby having to have a new home at 9 years of age. But thank goodness there are lovely people like you who will take in an older beagle. Hope it goes well with Josie and you have a newbie very soon!

That’s great Susan – the beags and I hope everything works out with Lady and Josie! Yay for rescue and especially yay for older dog rescue.

You may look good, but this is not Stanley’s best angle! I’m surprised he let you post this… 🙂

Laurie you look wonderful! Glad the boys had a great time at camp and now that you and Phillip are home, all is right with their world.
