Oh joyful day! It’s the biennial pumping of the septic tank! What could possibly be better?  Let’s go!

The fragrance….exquisite!

I surrender to the aroma!  Makes me want to roll, even though there’s nothing on the grass!

Me, too!

LOL! Nothing like a nasty smell to drive beagles to religious ecstasy!

Here in the midwest we call them honey dippers!

If there’s even a military army consisting of beagles, the SepticTank Aroma Machine (STAM) will be their downfall!

This would be the highlight of my beagles’ year. Septic tank pumping is pretty much the epitome of Beagle Business!

That picture of Stanley rolling reminds me of a question I’ve always had. Why do beagles seem to want to roll ear-first? It seems like they want to get whatever nasty smell it is right on their ear…

You’re right JC, the head and ear goes down first, followed by the side of the neck, the shoulder and then over onto the back. If you’re really lucky you get the icky stuff over all the bits and then ground into the back!!!! In England one of the worst things is fox poo – the smell remains for DAYS, even if you use doggy deodoriser (then it just smells like fox poo and perfume, which is almost worse than just the poo smell)!!

Love the captions, Laurie… And love all the comments…
Perhaps the Beagles were all contractors/engineers/inspectors in another life… In my industry it’s a common phrase that sewer (and all it’s lovely aromas) smells like money 🙂
