His triumphant return

With a new window and sliding glass door installed, Captain Siding returned for an encore. This part of the house wasn’t sided because it was inside the former sunroom.

Just like Clayton (again!), Boo does a dynamite frog-dog.

Good Lord I love Boo. He reminds me of Kramer…Kramer used to lie like that, too. So sweet.

So your plans to hide the Boo and make him the third Kramer beagle didn’t pan out, huh? Oh well – he obviously is happy to go home with his mommy!

I love the picture of dynamic Captain Siding. We could use his talents around our house for a while!

Cody sometimes does the “frog dog” with his back legs, too. Henry does not.

Captain Siding is dressed like Captain America. Where is his shield?

Love it! I think he needs a cape, although I recall from “The Incredibles” that capes are not really in fashion for the practical superhero.

Boo has a very interesting back pattern!

  6. I think it’s time for you to have a trio again, says the woman who wants a quartet. 🙂

Hooray for Captain Siding, the great New Jersey toolman.
Did someone call him fool, man?
      Hooray, hooray, hooray!
(apologies to Groucho Marx — warning: the following is not politically correct)

Sorry, folks. This sounded better in my head than it came out here. And I didn’t realize I was embedding the video,

Now I’ve got “Hooray for Captain Spalding” as an ear worm. It’s going to be a great day as I do my Groucho impression around the office!

Yes, hopelessly politically incorrect now, but back then considered to be very risqué. I love the Marx Brothers movies and Harpo was always my favorite. Following is an attempt at a Captain Spalding verse for Boo:

        Hooray for Boo the Beagle
        He really is a Charmer
If cold he’ll keep you warmer
        Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!

        Everyone have a good weekend!

      Hooray for Captain Siding,
Why has he been in hiding?
He has so much to do!
He has to pick up poo!

Isn’t it amazing how quickly they can get up from that frog dog position when they hear the biscuit tin open or the leads being picked up for a walkie ……. !!
