Will you be my friends?

Posted by laurie on August 16, 2013

We all took a walk on the canal the other night. Gorgeous weather. This is right after Stan’s encounter with another dog. He does NOT believe that other dogs should be on the canal and is rather vocal about it. Once the confrontation is over, he goes berserk sniffing the trail that the other dog left in its wake.

Sometimes Stan hangs back and Sherman, who is not on a leash, takes off in front. I’m not sure if any of his feet are on the ground here.

Because look! Twin toddlers!

Love the canal pics and lovebug Shermie with the twins!

Cody often makes a fuss over other dogs and then is more interested in sniffing where they’ve BEEN instead of trying to follow them.

The canal looks like a wonderful place to walk. Eddy get so interested in the trail of scents left by other dogs that he sometimes misses the rabbit sitting 2 feet away LOL

    Shermie’s a HoverDog!

That path looks so beautiful and peaceful – it just begs you to walk down it.

LOL, Sherman is like Willow with the kids. We have triplet preschool boys in the neighborhood and a family with 9 kids from age 12 on down. Willie just loves the attention and isn’t fazed by small armies of children surrounding her and petting her. In fact, she’ll sometimes sit down on the triplets’ front lawn and refuse to move, hoping they’ll come out to visit. How I get my exercise: carrying her home, lol.

  7. How can you have a beagle off leash in that environment??? Oscar would be long gone and Spencer would probably eventually come back because he missed his mommy. (maybe) By the time I trained my third beagle in obedience school I told the teacher I was going to skip the off leash healing part of the class. She wasn’t happy about it, but I knew my limitations.

What a beautiful canal. I remember there was a story about it, but I forgot it.
