Here comes the sun

Posted by laurie on September 27, 2013

This is by far the best sunning venue in the house, and it shows. Buddy and Holly will be with us for the weekend; Audrey and Kevin will pick them up on Monday. I know there will be repercussions when I say this, but, I am quite happy having four dogs in the house. (But I prefer owning just two!)

My boss and friend always says “two dogs, two hands”… As in one hand to pet each dog… Perfect ratio.
Love to see the pups sunning themselves… Happy Friday!

    I prefer threesomes.

What nice hosts the boys are to give up the best sunny spot in the house. There would be repercussions if I would say that as well.

Enjoy your weekend with your guests 🙂

More dogs are better than fewer dogs, that’s for sure.

Unfortunately we said goodbye to Quincy, our old lady rescue dog on the 14th.

Very sad for your loss, RIP Quincy. I’m with you, love having a pack (and I miss having a pack)

Quincy is still keeping an eye on all of you from beyond the Bridge. I’m sure she is remembering the wonderful family who took her in, were so kind to her, and made her senior years so much easier and . better. I’m very sorry for your loss. RIP Quincy. Your immediate family loved you and so did ALL of your DD family!

So very sorry to hear of the loss of Quincy. You gave her a happy home in her last years.

Thank you all so much for the kind words…
Although Quincy wasn’t with us long, or long enough — they never are, I loved her very much. My heart hurts, even though I know it will ease eventually…
And it always seems like the DD family is there to give us hugs to help us thru… So thank you!

Have so enjoyed seeing the boys and their visitors this week. Been playing catch-up on the DD as my computer has been acting up. Got a new router and now Chrome doesn’t work on my machine – works fine on hubby’s, just not mine. So I uninstalled and reinstalled – nothing. Using IE is a pain because it’s slow, so I downloaded Firefox today…….and it worked, but crashed twice in about an hour. Starting to suspect I have issues with my machine, or my software, or something of the sort. Not a techie, so been trying to find something through Google searches to help fix the issues that is also simple enough for a “dummy” to understand. For the time being I have stolen my husband’s laptop…..

Maybe tomorrow I’ll just skip all the computer stuff and lay in a comfy, sunny spot and live the beagle life……

I’m sorry to hear about Quincy, so sad. Our Cassie is a real sun baby, she loves laying out on the lawn on sunny days, even in the winter if it’s not too cold.

On the subject of how many beagles is too many beagles, well we’d love to have more than two but honestly couldn’t manage to walk more than two at a time! We could take them in shifts of course but just don’t have the time for two hour long walks in the morning and again in the afternoon (or the energy!). I’d have every rescue beagle in the world if I could, to make sure they have a good home and are loved but in reality all I can do is love and care for two at a time.
