Here, I’ll help

Posted by laurie on October 23, 2013

Stanley is steadily improving and very kindly offered his assistance to Phillip in modifying his signs from four years ago. Rather than buy new signs, he taped new election dates and urls to the old ones. He has a few of these photo signs in addition to the standard ones. His new url is which, if you’re a policy wonk, you might enjoy.

  1. So glad to hear that Stanley is improving. Holly has taken a turn for the worse. She could not even stand yesterday. We had to hold her bowl in front of her – in order for her to eat night. Vet visit again today

Good luck to Phillip, and wishes for a quick recovery to our beagle friends who have been under the weather (Stan, Trent, Holly, and anyone else I may have missed).

That looks like some incredibly valuable help being given by the beags. Sorry to hear about Holly – I hope the vet visit is productive.

Just got a chance to check out Phillip’s website — impressive! I particularly like the comment on his resume’ regarding Laurie: “She has participated in dozens of beagle rescues (including my friend and opponent’s 2nd beagle)”. An indirect endorsement from your opponent? ;->

There is no help like Beagle help 🙂 Hugs to all the beagles and their worried owners.

Hope all the beagles that aren’t doing well get to feeling better soon. Poor little things, it’s so hard when they don’t feel good.

Has anyone used or heard much about Tagg–the pet tracker? I am really curious about it and would love to hear from other beagle owners who might use it.

Haven’t heard of it before reading your post, but just looked it up. I’d be paying to see the sleeping beagle activity level. :-> It might be worth investigating if you have a Houdini in your home.

Scout has had a Tagg for about one year. I like it. Tracks dog’s location on home computer, or smartphone. When dog leaves the “home zone”, system sends text and/or email. The “home zone” is about a one or two block area, so if dog runs out, system won’t alert unless further away from home. Tracking report will say, “dog is about 200 foot from 114 Smith St.” My recollection was system was $80- $100, and after 6 or 12 moinths (depending what “package” you buy) it’s $8/month. Systems uses Verizon (?) network. While the tracking updates are about five or ten minutes apart (do verify on website), no dog stays still, but you get in the ballpark. The system does have a 30 day (?) trial period. I found the best price on Amazon.
