Is this spot taken?

Posted by laurie on October 30, 2013

Good thoughts to everyone, especially Donna and Spencer (see yesterday’s comments). Stan’s hip is bothering him again so I started the pain pills last night. We’re pretty sure it’s his hip, because he licks it a lot. A vet visit might be in order soon.

Today’s photo is kind of amusing. The beagles got their after dinner treats and scattered to eat them. Somehow Sherman and Buttercup ended up right next to each other. So much for privacy!

That jump on the couch might have been enough to irritate his hip.

thanks all. so far the meds seem to be helping our little man. He slept like a brick last night. He did wake up at 4:30AM with a real bad cough but he could have gotten a hair or something in his nose…talked to the vet about it and she just asked us to watch it, as its not a side effect of that drug…

as for pain meds, our vet gave Gypsy something new the other day to try. Orocam. Its a bit cheaper than Metacam. We will try it on her this week when we run out of Metacam.
should be interesting to see if she minds me spraying it on her gums!

Hugs and best wishes to all who are having health problems, and a big Stay Safe to our UK and European beaglers. I’ve just finished dosing Gomez with his near-daily Previcox for his arthritic hips . . .

Love and big kisses from England to all Poorly Babies in the US – hope you will all be better soon xxxxx

  10. Spencer is okay. He slept in his “cave” my closest most of the night. He is straining but nothing is coming out. This morning he didn’t eat his kibble, only the pumpkin. I’m going to get some baby food. It work last time one of the dogs wouldn’t eat. My research showed that Gerber’s Pure Beef was the best, but maybe there is something new out there that is better.

He’s moping around and was very spaced out when we took a separate walks from Oscar. He kept looking for Tim Oscar. But he was walking briskly, which is good. I feel so bad for him because he doesn’t know what’s going on. I guess the first day is the worst. I’m lucky I can work out of my house and be here most of the day.

I’m glad Trent is feeling better. I guess it all goes in cycles.
