Ah, salad time!

I once taught Clayton to “shake” for a treat and it really stuck in his mind because whenever someone would hold food he’d lift that paw right off the ground. Adorable!

    So sweet!

My mom and I taught Shotzy to shake, and she does it automatically when she sits… Even when there’s no treat involved 🙂

Awww look at Clayton with the paw up. Judy came to us knowing how to shake. She came from a shelter. She does it on command, So precious!!!

What cuties!! Jordan would shake, but Lady and Josie aren’t interested. However, if you’re eating and Josie thinks she might be able to convince you to give her something, she will thump you with her paw.

Haha that’s what our ‘Beauty’ does. I love it.

  5. Jake used to “get himself dressed”…he would help you put on his harness and would let you know if you were doing it wrong! That totally confused my Dad as he could never figure it out and I think Jake would get frustrated! I would love for Lily to learn a trick, but she is so stubborn I don’t think I could take the training required :).

On a side note, have you heard about Elvis the 2 yr old beagle who can sniff out if a Polar Bear is pregnant! What a smart, helpful little beagle…now why can’t mine earn their kibble?

I just love how Spenser still manages to look bored in the first photo…

  7. Oscar gives me the double paw. First the right one then the left. Spencer is too impatient. He just gives me the high ten, both paws at once.

Just made me think, if you said shake, our beagle Sam would begin flailing both paws at you. It was so funny to watch.
