Little Chasen was afraid of dogs until he met Sherman. Then all he wanted to do was walk Sherman on leash around the house. Sherman was a good sport.

Big brother Coleman got into the action, swapping Stanley for Sherman.

After several laps around the house, Sherman decided he’d had enough and plopped himself down on this ottoman. That’s Jerome (Phillip’s nephew) on the couch and his dog Elizabeth with the frisbee.

Oh Lordy, they’re all so cute — kids and dogs alike! Having the baby walk Sherman makes him look as big as Godzilla! And poor Elizabeth in that last photo, she’s like, “Hey, doesn’t anybody want to play with me??”

  2. My oldest niece learned how to walk by walking Jake! He was such a patient pup! We were worried about a 2 yr old beagle’s energy level so the adults held the leash but my niece has a nice pink boa that we looped thru Jake’s collar and off they would go wandering around the yard! She thought she was walking the dog and was so proud of herself. Dogs are wonderful teachers!

That is just adorable. I love how beagles are so good with kids – our first beagle Kichwa was amazingly patient with toddlers, even naughty toddlers (that may be redundant).

In that first picture it actually looks like Sherman is walking Chasen…….. “Follow me little guy, this is how we do it.”

Dear Shermie is such a sweet, patient little soul! And sweet Elizabeth looks like she’s just waiting for her turn.

Beautiful family pics – thanks for sharing!
