Dumpster dogs

This was from July 2000, the summer that Phillip singlehandedly sided the house.

Hence his DD moniker: Captain Siding. I’ll bet that clears up a bit of confusion for some of you.

  1. Looks like Clayton and Scooter helped Captian Siding too. My question is : If Phillip did the whole house all by himself – should he have a higher rank than Captain ? I would say that he should be at least a Major or a Colonel ! 🙂

Looks like he had plenty of help – Clayton, Scooter and Mountain Dew!

And Spenser isn’t pictured, because he’s up front, ready to drive the dump truck! (I think Mr. Man was tall enough to reach the pedals).

“Light hauling & Otoneurology”, right? Funniest thing I ever saw.

  4. Captain makes sense. Captain of the ship // captain of the plane.

Harper, I found a book series you may like about a female PI from Chicago. I read one of the later novels and liked it so I went on Amazon and bought the first three. I’m on the second.

The author is Sara Paretsky and the heroine is V. I. Warshawski. Kind of like a 40 year old female Elvis Cole. Starts the same where no one has cell phones and have to use pay phones. Ha ha. Do they even have pay phones now

There was a “V.I. Warshawski” movie in 1991, starring Kathleen Turner … guess it didn’t do well enough for it to become a franchise …

      • I just looked it up on the internet. The movie looked pretty pathetic. No way I’d cast Kathleen Turner as V.I. Maybe a younger Susan Sarandon or Jennifer Aniston’s role in We’re the Millers. Hard-boiled.

The books are good, if you like that type of novel.

Glad you had a lovely holiday Laurie (and Phillip) – these are great photos, the boys were so handsome!
