Whoa, Nelly!

Posted by laurie on March 31, 2014

This was one of my impulse purchases from browsing around on Amazon. They’re supposed to slow down the fast eater, of which I have two.

When I put kibble in them, the boys didn’t know what to do. I had to move it back into their regular bowls. I’ll try again. though.

They did fine with the canned food and it did slow them down. If you’re interested, here they are.

Check out the ears!

Yes, that’s a 24 pack of Diet Mt. Dew over there in Phillip’s outdoor refrigerator.

Play with me

Posted by laurie on March 3, 2014

This week’s Mon/Wed/Fri photos are all from a series I took Saturday. I shot over 50 pictures (practice makes perfect!) in about 10 minutes and got a handful of good ones.

Don’t worry, Sherman gets involved later on.

Snow bunnies

Posted by laurie on February 24, 2014

Believe it or not, a whole lot of snow melted this weekend.

We took the boys for a walk in the park yesterday. It was sunny and close to 60. It was like walking in the city, everyone was there. Whenever a strange dog approached (we must have met at least 20 dogs) Phillip would kneel down and hold Stanley, reassuring him that the dog was not going to eat him whole. Then he’d get a treat. It worked pretty well and Stan only barked/lunged at a couple of dogs, including a pit bull who stuck his face in Stan’s, and a sharpei/golden retriever puppy who was just too darn cute.

Neat trick

Posted by laurie on February 21, 2014

We’ve been giving the boys a Dentabone after we eat dinner. It takes longer for them to chew it than a biscuit-type treat. This means that I often finish loading the dishwasher before Stanley is done eating. For the last two days he has taken his treat (in his mouth) to the dishwasher and (briefly) tried to multi-task. The dishwasher consistently loses. Poor Stan, no prewashing for you.

Brother may I?

Posted by laurie on February 13, 2014

“Elder brother? Sir? May I have the raccoon toy?”

“How about now?”

It’s another day inside, another snow storm. Phillip left for work at 5:30 so he can round early and come home before the freezing rain starts. This is getting to be so ridiculous that it’s almost funny. Almost.
