Clayton didn’t just walk, he trundled. And when he ran his long ears nearly lifted him off the ground.

At the risk of repeating myself

Posted by laurie on February 20, 2014

Spenser was such a lap dog. A 42-pound lap dog.

Speaking of winter, Phillip informs me that our average snowfall is 25″ (63.5 cm), and this year we’ve already collected 58″ (147.3 cm). Yesterday my sister texted me a photo of her Oregon daffodils. Is that sisterly love? I don’t think so! I replied with a photo of a huge snow pile in my parking lot at work.

Proof that spring exists. Because it’s snowing…again.

For the first month or so that Stanley was with us, Phillip and I found it difficult to tell him apart from Sherman. Now of course they look totally different. Can you tell who this is?

And the beagle is: Spenser!

Of ugly slipcovers

Phillip is picking up the calendars today from Ron. I have the envelopes labeled and need to get stamps. I’ll mail them Friday and/or Saturday. If you’re planning on giving one as a Christmas present, let me know and I’ll be sure to send it out first.

Mutt and Jeff

This is an unusual picture because Spenser never paid any attention to Matisse, barely acknowledged him.  As you can see, he was too busy perfecting the art of looking bored.

Quite the looker

Spenser was so handsome. And so dignified.

Beep beep

Whenever I left Clayton in the car for a few minutes, I’d always come back to find him in the driver’s seat. He was so adorable.

This was a caption contest photo – I wonder if Susan from DE and her prolific memory can tell us what the caption was?

Mr. Chipmunk was one of my favorite props. He’s got to be around somewhere because I don’t remember throwing him out. I’ll have to poke around.

Not a prop per se, but this just cracks me up. My friend Kate says that this could be one of those inspirational posters with the caption “Think Big!”

Pool’s open

Posted by laurie on November 7, 2013

The couple that owned this house were the ones who told us about Scooter (that his owners wanted to drop him at the pound) and at the time they had 2-1/2 beagles. Joe is Phillip’s colleague. He’s a neuro-oncologist (and a saint).

“No cocktails?”

Scooter was not overjoyed by his first swimming lesson. But his mama was proud!
