Phillip called me at work yesterday. He had spent a full half-hour looking for Vous. She was nowhere to be seen. He checked the garage, the sheds, he walked the fence looking for breaches. He was getting frantic when he decided to check the bedroom once again and there she was, under the bed. She has been sleeping on the floor next to my side of the bed at night, and I guess she likes it there. Misplacing a camper is so nerve-wracking!

On his majesty’s throne

I was woken up last night by Sherman’s shrill barking, which often accompanies his nightly forays into the yard. I have no idea what that dog is doing but am thankful that our neighbors haven’t “mentioned it.”

Chomp, chomp

Have you ever seen Sherman look so ferocious? He was having so much fun with this basket (and had already ruined it) that we let him chew it up for a little while longer. And speaking of chewing, the boys are back at the vet today for their teeth cleanings. Wish us luck!

T-day
Posted by laurie on March 21, 2014
Today is teeth cleaning day for both of the boys. If we get out of there for less than $1,000 I will be surprised. By going together I won’t have to worry about feeding just one of them breakfast. Now both of them can stare at me for two hours. I also hope that they can share a crate at the vet so it won’t be as scary.
Update: there is a gas leak near the hospital and they might have to evacuate, so the boys are going home with Phillip and we have to reschedule…

I have to make a barking video. Stanley starts and Sherman chimes in. I don’t know if it’s because Sherman is deaf, but his bark is more of a squawk. Bark bark bark squawk squawk…

Do you want to know a secret?

I’m very happy with the fire escape shelf. I only recommend it if you are very handy. It took Captain Siding about a half hour to hang it. The two plants on it are the only two plants I own because I (unintentionally) kill any plant that I acquire. I’ve been watering these for several weeks now and am amazed at their longevity.

Phillip and my dinnertime is so exhausting for the boys that they have to take a nap after they finish their treat and help load the dishes into the dishwasher. Stanley usually heads inside his pup tent, but two days ago Sherman discovered that he could get IN it as well as ON it, and now poor Stan has nowhere to go. We might have to get another (pup tent, that is).

Let the dieting begin

As always, we spend Christmas with Cathy and Judy and their friend Celia. That’s five people and there were six dogs. Keesha and Tallie are the two Keeshonds, Mojo is the Schipperke and Frisky (not pictured) is the small furry white dog. Tallie and Stanley had a great deal to discuss and sometimes it was difficult for the humans to hear each other above their voices.
Please meet Harper’s new German shepherd, Wookey Girl Lash!
